Byram, you are doing a great service to the avian and animal communities by exposing the false premises and lies used to justify this vicious, unscientific, and health-endangering act. I hope this case will go to court and you can serve as an expert witness to help prevent a repeat of this atrocity. We must stop the bloodshed now before it replicates at a global level and extends to other species, including Homo sapiens.

It has already happened with Homo sapiens! Sorry to say this but they get worse treatment than ostriches. Not to say the treatment of ostriches is good, not at all, it is heartbreaking. It’s just that we can recognise better when animals are maltreated but less so when it happens to humans. In my country, Germany, in 2022 almost 70,000 people living in the country were culled - that is probably the correct way to describe it - by the government. The proof of this has been explained very clearly by an expert, an actuary in population mortality.

Yes, but the human culling is disguised as "public health." They didn't take the humans out and massacre them in cold blood. The ostrich killing is overt murder. They have been disguising human murder thus far, but this is a step toward the overt murder of humans. How much longer till they segregate a group of people, saying they're highly contagious with a deadly disease and then euthanizing them—again in the name of public health?

I hate that expression ‘public health’. As if what’s best for an individual can be averaged and applied to a population. It’s medical communism and has always led to massacres like the Covid vaccine massacre. Only improved education of the public who have been fed so much medical nonsense will set people and animals free. Only humans can save the animals but to do this they first need to free themselves.

Correct: MAID

They are already doing it with the :

A : CJab Bioweapon which all of our politicians pushed. It is injuring and killing us.

:B: children and humans who are being trafficked.

C: spraying agent orange in Nova Scotia in August 2025.

C: with much of our diary and beef due to the Government signing the Global Methane Act in 2023.

D: with the Canadian Weather Modification Act signed in 1985 under Brian Mulroney.

Mulroney signed UN Agenda 2020, Harper signed UN Agenda 2030. He also signed FPIA. https://canadians.org/analysis/harper-sneaks-through-canada-china-fipa-locks-canada-31-years/

E: They are taking away our land and giving it to the natives. Look at what is occurring at the City of Richmond BC.

F: Fentanyl

Absolutely, the culling of these birds are terrible.

However, where is Canadians’ outrage that Our Whole Government ( Including the Federal Conservatives), are killing the people. The majority of you want to vote them back in. Please wake up! They all need to be held accountable for the crimes they committed against us.

Our Doctors are killing us. Yet, the majority of Canadians still support this corrupt system.

Everything needs to be dismantled and we need to start over.

Also, investigate how many of our politicians are pedos. Know the symbols!

Have a nice day!

"By the way, all countries claiming to have avian influenza-free status are misleading people. Avian influenza viruses are endemic. They are carried and transmitted by wild birds, especially waterfowl, that migrate around the globe.

...

To be consistent with their reasoning, every person that supported what the CFIA did to the healthy ostriches should never step foot on any premises frequented by wild birds."

None of it makes any sense. Unless, of course, one looks at the CFIA as a protection racket for Big Pharma.

They didn't do it because they were "just following orders" or because they "just needed to make the mortgage payments". They did it with glee. And can't wait to do it again.

It is also frightening that government agencies, under police protection, appear to have frightened the birds and not provided optimal care, before rendering them a traumatic death (traumatic for the humans too). Saddened as I am by the slaughter of what would appear to be harmless animals, and the ongoing emotional and financial destruction of the people who raised them, I suspect this act of wanton cruelty is merely another notice to the subjects of the crown - "Do as we say. Or else we will destroy you."

I'll don my tinfoil topper to suggest that who, or what ever actually runs the country directed it's agents, the nameless, faceless, unaccountable bureaucrats, to "make an example" of potential troublemakers, like truckers, or farmers, or small business owners, the groups who might who might survive, or even thrive, without the "help" of government.

Examples like the massive overkill, (pun intended), of the ostrich slaughter, or the trucker's ongoing legal nightmares, could be simple "obey or die" warnings from our lords and masters.

Because nothing else makes sense.

I would like to thank the anonymous community member who shared the post on the Universal Ostrich Farms Facebook page yesterday.

Many of us have watched this unfold and have felt helpless, heartbroken, and deeply disturbed.

But we are not helpless.

And we are not alone.

The CFIA cannot simply walk away from this and pretend it never happened.

If there is no accountability, then this will happen again, to someone else, somewhere else.

This individual, a hunter and an animal lover, was shaken by the barbaric and chaotic manner in which the cull was carried out. Instead of looking away, he did the work. He gathered facts, examined protocols, and drafted a formal complaint to be submitted.

And now, it’s time for us to stand beside him, as a united voice.

We do not need anger.

We do not need violence.

We need numbers, truth, and courage.

Are you ready to make noise, peacefully, respectfully, and powerfully?

If you are, then copy the complaint, send it to the CFIA and BCSPCA, and share with others who care.

Our voice matters.

Together, we are impossible to ignore.

Subject: Formal complaint and request for investigation into inhumane depopulation and animal cruelty at Universal Ostrich Farms To [Recipient Name or Agency],

I am filing a formal complaint regarding the depopulation operation carried out at Universal Ostrich Farms on November 6, 2025. Based on witness accounts, audio evidence, and publicly posted videos and statements from people on site, the method used to kill the birds appears to have caused prolonged suffering, panic, a high probability of secondary injuries, and inhumane treatment.

I am requesting a full investigation and the release of all operational records related to this event. Humane depopulation protocols for flock and herd animals specifically prohibit creating conditions where panic, trampling, or uncontrolled movement are unavoidable.

For species like ostriches, which are highly reactive and prone to running in fear, accepted animal welfare standards require calm handling, separation into manageable groups, and killing animals out of sight of one another whenever possible.

Protocols do not permit crowding large, panicky birds into a confined pen where they will inevitably run over each other, collide, fall, and suffer secondary injuries. Any method that knowingly triggers panic or makes trampling unavoidable is considered non humane by established slaughter, euthanasia, and depopulation guidelines.

These standards exist because panic itself causes immense distress and because trampling can cause prolonged pain before death. Packing ostriches tightly in a kill pen under gunfire violates the fundamental principles of humane depopulation.

Summary of the incident Reports indicate that around 300 to 330 ostriches were confined in a kill pen and shot at night. Witnesses reported that roughly eight hundred to nine hundred rounds were fired over a thirty minute period. Industrial lighting was intentionally positioned in a way that blocked public visibility into the pen.

Because of this obstruction, nobody outside the operation could see whether birds were rendered unconscious instantly, or whether they were panicking, running, wounded, or suffering. The nighttime setting, and the intentional blocking of public view raise major concerns about the humaneness and legitimacy of the operation. Why this appears to be an inhumane and inappropriate killing method

1. Humane killing requires instant unconsciousness and minimal suffering. The facts do not match humane euthanasia standards. Killing three hundred large birds should not require eight hundred to nine hundred rounds or thirty minutes of continuous firing. This strongly suggests that many animals were wounded rather than killed instantly and were left suffering.

2. Nighttime depopulation is highly questionable and unsafe. Visibility at night is limited. Industrial lighting scatters off dust, feathers, and the ground, creating glare and washout that interferes with a shooter’s ability to aim. Whether iron sights or red dots were used, bright industrial lights make precise shot placement extremely difficult. Shooting large, panicked animals in these conditions almost guarantees injuries, missed shots, and slow deaths.

3. The use of lighting to block public view raises concerns about transparency. If the procedure was humane, there would be no need to obscure it. Positioning lights to prevent witnesses from seeing what was happening suggests the operators were aware the process would look disturbing or would not hold up to scrutiny.

4. Close quarters with panicked animals make accurate shooting nearly impossible. Ostriches are large, powerful birds that move fast when frightened. In a confined pen, the birds would have been running, kicking, colliding, and trying to escape. Even experienced shooters cannot make reliable instant kill shots under those conditions. The environment itself makes humane killing impossible.

5. Trampling and secondary injuries were almost guaranteed. Panicked ostriches in close quarters will run blindly and step on anything that falls. Any bird wounded by a non lethal shot, any bird struggling to stay upright, or any bird that collapsed due to fear or injury would have been trampled. This could cause crushed limbs, broken legs, twisted necks, internal trauma, and severe pain. These secondary injuries are a direct result of the method used and would have prolonged suffering before the animals were dispatched. No humane depopulation protocol allows animals to be packed into conditions where trampling is unavoidable.

6. Shooter fatigue would have reduced accuracy. Even if ten shooters were present, each would have fired eighty to ninety rounds in a thirty minute window. Sustained firing causes shoulder fatigue, flinching, loss of stance, and reduced focus. These factors make wounding far more likely than instant killing. If shooters did not become fatigued, that suggests they were using small or underpowered ammunition that would not reliably kill a large bird with a single shot. Either scenario represents an inappropriate and inhumane killing method.

7. Psychological distress to the flock is undeniable. Even though witnesses could not see inside the pen, it is clear that animals confined together while hearing repeated gunfire and feeling the panic of surrounding birds would have been overwhelmed with fear. Humane slaughter standards require animals to be killed out of sight of one another for this exact reason. The method used here created maximum fear and chaos.

8. Thirty minutes of gunfire for a supposed euthanasia process is unreasonable. A controlled and humane euthanasia procedure does not involve half an hour of continuous gunfire. The duration itself is evidence of chaos and suffering, not humane handling.

A formal request for the following:

1. A complete investigation into whether humane killing standards were followed and whether any provincial or federal animal welfare laws were violated.

2. The release of all operational plans, authorizations, lighting plans, depopulation protocols, weapon and ammunition logs, contractor names, training records, and after action reports related to this operation.

3. Confirmation of whether CFIA staff, RCMP members, or private contractors carried out the shooting.

4. A justification for why this depopulation was carried out at night instead of during daylight hours.

5. Confirmation of the training level of all shooters and the exact methods and calibers used.

6. Release of communications between CFIA, RCMP, and contractors related to planning and executing this operation.

7. If violations or failures are found, it is expected corrective action, accountability, disciplinary measures, and full public transparency. Why this matters Even when depopulation is authorized, authorization does not excuse causing unnecessary suffering or using methods that inherently create fear, chaos, and prolonged suffering. All animals, even during disease control operations, must be handled humanely.

Based on the information available, this was not humane euthanasia. It was a mass firing event carried out under conditions that guaranteed panic, trampling, wounding, and slow deaths. The public deserves transparency. The animals deserved better.
