It has been two years, four months, and thirteen days (864 total days) since the administration of my employer, the University of Guelph, banned me from accessing my office and laboratory. I would like to have access to my work spaces. Segregation makes me feel less than human.

Two of my colleagues and I offered an online course about immunology and infectious diseases through our new start-up company, called ImmunoCeutica. At ImmunoCeutica we are bringing our expertise to bear on the research and development of natural health products (immunoceuticals) and services to assist people with optimizing the functionality of their immune systems. Education is a big component. We aim to make complex science accessible to as many people as possible. This is important in a day and age when many so-called ‘experts’ (especially those claiming expertise in ‘health misinformation’) try to ‘speak over’ laypeople in an effort to bedazzle them with fancy-sounding lingo. A real expert can make science accessible to non-scientists. You should demand no less from scientists that serve the public. This is how you can equip yourself to advocate for your own health.
Our team is currently wrapping up our first course offering through ImmunoCeutica. It is entitled “Introduction to Immunology and Infectious Diseases”. It proved to be extremely popular. So popular, in fact, that we reached our maximum class size and, unfortunately, had to turn a number of people away. Consequently, we have decided to offer the same course again this January. So, we already have quite a few people registered from among those that wanted to take the first iteration of the course. This represents the official open call to register for the second iteration of the course. Registration will remain open until we reach a maximum class size of 50. We capped the enrolment to ensure that everyone gets a fair chance at providing comments and/or asking questions during our real-time Question and Answer sessions.
I have some exciting news about the course that is currently wrapping up. ImmunoCeutica has invested 75% of the proceeds (25% covered costs) into hiring an intern for the next several months. This is a scientist who has very advanced technical skills and wants to transition from working as a staff scientist to a PhD graduate program. Unfortunately, they found themselves an innocent bystander victim of COVID-19 politics. They were looking at losing their job this month, but their graduate program cannot begin until May 2024. This would mean that they would lose their home and have no way to sustain their family for 4.5 months. Now, thanks to those that supported the teaching program at ImmunoCeutica, they will be able to continue their research in the field of immunoceuticals until they can begin their graduate program. This is how we roll at ImmunoCeutica. It is a great example of how the new ‘truth economy’ can work. With people of integrity supporting one another while many in the world weave their misinformation, we can be successful.
So, if you would like to learn about immunology and infectious diseases so that you can better interpret what is going on in the world of medical science, while also supporting the mission of the great people at ImmunoCeutica, then please register as soon as possible for the Winter 2024 iteration of our course, which begins January 5th. You can register by clicking on “Click Here to Enroll Now” at the bottom of the page at this link.
Here is the course outline with all relevant details…
We are maintaining our special introductory price of $299.00. The course is designed to meet the needs of everyone from health practitioners to laypeople with science training of at least a high school level.
One of the best parts is the open Q&A sessions. We get into some great practical and philosophical discussions.
Also, please consider signing up for ImmunoCeutica’s free newsletters at this link.
Perhaps you would offer a free spot for your course to Dr Teresa Tam
