So many people have suffered - those that did and now have huge regrets and those of us who chose our own bodily autonomy at HUGE costs. My meagre savings are all but gone, have lost my home and most of my family. Everyday is Groundhog Day in my world, it’s desperately hard to find a reason to smile.

Bless you friend - sending you hugs. I know it doesn't feel like it right now, but you will get through this. Don't give up.

That’s one of the most frustrating and saddening parts of the pandemic. That you’re made out to be immoral and wrong and selfish when you listen to reason/your gut intuition, and then to throw salt on the wounds of ostracization, they are unwilling to acknowledge when the truth emerges and unwilling to admit they were wrong. It’s horrendous being treated so unfairly, especially knowing there’s not a thing you can do about it.

We know that people and in particular institutional groups of people would probably rather die than to admit they were wrong.

“rather die”…true. Equally true: “rather you die” (‘you’ meaning the ones telling the truth)

The people responsible for these policies are evil, plain and simple. Anyone with a shred of decency would've never implemented these irrational measures. Instead, they fully embraced the notion of tossing people with enough common sense to avoid these "vaccines" into 2nd class citizen status. I will never forget the names of the politicians, celebrities, and media sources that cheered on this assault of human dignity.

The Canadian PM is still bragging internationally about his mandates and spreading slurs about those who disagree with him. He is a national embarrassment but continues on patting himself on the back because the system of government in Canada seems to be unable to recognize what he is and remove him.

https://twitter.com/DaveNestor22/status/1506730875228246028?s=20&t=N9cukGVeJ5K5lFTts89-RA This Croatian MP gave Trudeau a well-deserved, sound roasting - and two others spoke openly at the EU Parliament that Trudeau had absolutely NO business giving them a speech on democracy after his egregiously trampling on Cdn rights. I still can't travel, and "Be kind" unscientific Bonnie Henry still won't let us go to gym or restaurants or travel - but it gave me a little bit of pleasure to hear that people internationally DO NOT respect Trudeau (and seem to have a better understanding of his tyrannies than do Canadians, oblivious to the harms and loss of freedom for healthy citizens.)

I believe now there are 4 MP's that have spoken out at the EU Parliament. The venue for this meeting seats approximately 750 people and when Trudeau spoke there was only about 250 people who chose to sit there and listen to him. I also live in British Columbia and "be kind" Bonnie Henry has become a cruel joke. At this point, I really don't believe the vaccine passport will be dropped in this province; unless it occurs to them that it may not be a good idea during tourist season this summer. So, even if it is removed, I bet it is reinstated by the fall or as Bonnie likes to it "Respiratory Season".

10s of millions of people worldwide segregated, shamed, cancelled, fired, and targeted by extrajudicial persecution from government, media, business, and their local communities. The zombie aggressors, irrationally hostile, willfully ignorant, and unrepentant still to this day.

Definitely harmed people and still is. Unvaccinated people can still not fly on airplanes or take trains or buses. And the people responsible for the past harms and the current ones are smugly slithering away, thinking they are invincible and never have to fess up to their crimes or face justice.

I get it. We lost everything too. My daughter who was on her last year of Neuroscience at Guelph cut her degree short to a General Bio Sci due to the mandates. She was a scholarship student with 92 average. As disgusting as this is we have our health and integrity intact.

Very sorry for EVERYONE WHO STOOD UP as we have all lost something.

Just infuriating.

It is heartbreaking. I also had to give up a career I loved. And when you think of how many thousands of people across the country have similar stories and are regarded with disdain instead of sympathy, it would be good if all their stories were broadcast far and wide to put a human face on the suffering this has caused, as that has been sorely missing.

Maybe we’ll start seeing “pandemic survivor support groups” cropping up. It’s important to share these stories and be heard.

That is just such a very sad story. I'm so very sorry for your colleague. I too, (here in Italy), lost my job and now as an over 50 I cannot work anywhere at all unless I get the jab. I won't do it. People think that Italy are lifting the restrictions but it's all just a farce. Even if they declare the state of emergency over on 31 March, they are still maintaining lots of discriminatory rules. I would leave but I have children and grandchildren here and anyway, where would I go ? I feel very down and like CaperDar find it hard to smile. People like yourself Dr Bridle, are inspirational and I absolutely loved your story the other day about your little lad.

Byram, COVID Chronicles is a great idea. After this so called « Pandemic » is over, hopefully soon, the COVID Chronicles will remind this generation and show the future generations all the lies and mistakes, so history will not repeat itself. Thank you for speaking Truth each time despite all the attacks. No matter how hard they try to conceal Truth, they will not succeed because God is Truth. God bless.

The media have been reporting on the impacts of restrictions on women’s work - with stats about the impact on their career progression, earning potential over a lifetime, and superannuation, etc. But no acknowledgment that mandates in female-dominated professions (such as aged care, health care, teaching and childcare) have disproportionately affected women.

Thank you for making us aware of how some people were effected. This is really sad and yes..I do believe there should be compensation.

The thing I struggle with the most in the aftermath of what Universities have done is what do you put your faith in now? I have a son applying to Universities right now. He wants to study Science and for now remains unvaccinated (mostly his parents choice) but he is also slowly seeing the light. Giving these institutions our hard earned money when we have seen such injustices done over the last year. Seeing how they treated their own students and faculty members in these last 8 months. Its not even about money, its partnering with these so called 'higher educational institutions' so they can teach our young adults what? How to discriminate, how to turn on freedom of thought and rights to our own bodies. Not open to listening to why we need to chose for ourselves and rejecting any and all exemptions. What do these upcoming students do now? Succumb to their policies and threats in order to gain an education and livelihood. What reasonable choices do these students have now! Choices are dwindling quickly!

I share your concerns of academic integrity and the buying of higher education. As a life-long academic, watching community colleges and universities—and some teaching organizations—respond to various mandates without dialogue or critical examination of the singular narrative has changed my perspective on higher education as a bastion of freedom and critical inquiry. They have behaved pathetically; like hospitals, they have responded to government/pharmaceutical “incentives,” and not the internal, academic community values of scholarship and ethics they were once noted for. To be fair, in the US most state institutions are now “state-assisted,” no longer state supported, so they are forced to rely almost exclusively on competitive grants for advanced research. So where do our children now go for science and humanities education where there is academic integrity? True open and critical inquiry? Examination of singular narratives and public health policy? There are so so so many teaching moments which have presented themselves in these past 2 years and which are relevant to every curriculum in higher education. I fantasize about an Intro to research design and statistics course using Pfizer’s document submitted for vaccine approval as a term-long example of slights, errors, manipulation, design flaws, wrapping up with how such fatal flaws end up in public policy. The public discourse around the singular narrative is worthy of literary and linguistics study, to say nothing of how it could be used to provide real-world cases in political science and health policies. But the question remains: where will college students go to learn, to appreciate, and to engage in academic integrity and critical inquiry? Private laboratories, untouched by pharmaceutical corporations and captured government agencies? Financing integrity and real science is challenging.

The true heroes of this pandemic. History instructs that heroes are always on the outside of popular opinion and it almost always costs them something important to stand up for their beliefs. My 44 year old nephew had a fatal stroke 2 days post vax. A friends husband had multiple organ system failure 3 days after, died. I KNOW these things are a danger. I also understand the anger & depression that come from feeling helpless in the face of the Government and societal steam roller that has trampled our rights and lives. Keep standing- truth will prevail!
