UPDATE: A new flyer with new times has been issued for this event (see below).
I am excited to announce that the Second Annual Alternative Education Conference will be held in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on Sunday, January 22nd. I attended this conference last year and it was great.
Publicly funded education seems to be in a downward spiral of limiting critical thinking, mislabeling scientific truths as ‘misinformation’, indoctrinating with controversial ideologies, and linking learning to mandates for which the science is anything but settled. Consequently, many people are seeking alternatives for their youth. If you are one of these individuals, then this conference is for you.
The organizers of this event envision environments where children through to young-adults can learn about the world around them with genuine freedom. Education from pre-school to post-secondary school will be addressed. We need our youth to be able to explore subjects, even those that are controversial, without judgement. Critical thinking needs to be encouraged. An emphasis needs to be placed on instilling a life-long love of learning while providing access to well-vetted facts, principles, and systems that will facilitate living life to the fullest; all while letting the individual and their families steer key aspects of moral development.
Wow, as I write this, it makes me wish that my post-secondary institution would promote these values! Instead, my institution promotes ‘DIE’ (diversity, inclusion, and equity) while hypocritically segregating, censoring, and punishing critical thinkers who dare to disagree with majority thinking on the basis of sound scientific principles.
So, if you are able, I encourage you to consider attending this conference so you can be part of the planning of future systems that emphasize education rather than indoctrination. We need less spoon-feeding of our youth. Instead, we need to step alongside them and help them become the innovators of tomorrow that can safeguard our freedoms and resources, and address both old and emerging problems.

This sounds amazing. We homeschooled all of our children, but this also seems like an exciting alternative to public schools and even many formally traditional private schools have gone “woke.”
Man, if I was in TO I would be there. Hope some of the lectures and panels will be live streamed.
