This sounds amazing. We homeschooled all of our children, but this also seems like an exciting alternative to public schools and even many formally traditional private schools have gone “woke.”

Wow! Brilliant! Any chance this can be brought out West too? I’m ever-so-grateful that I can travel by air in my own country now (sarcasm heavy, bitterness tenfold) but I cannot arrange to be there for this one.

What a wonder initiative. I have adult children now that would have profited by this, but I will contribute a donation to assist in the small way that I can.

Especially because of the contributions of you, Dr. Bridle and my most admired Canadian woman, Dr. Ponesse.

One of the biggest benefits I received from my early education was in a subject beyond any standard or closed curriculum.

It was at a Catholic boys’ school in grade nine, where we were taught about the classic fallacies of reasoning.

Over the past three years no lesson has proved as valuable as that lesson on logic.

AMAZING way to move forward for those that are ready to do so. Enough of the "DIE" system!

Thank you once again Dr. Bridle for all that you do, must most of all for helping to empower those who feel paralyzed by the past 3 years of lies, control and tyranny. May God continue to bless and protect you and your family. Sharing this everywhere!

Alternative schooling saved not only my education but my desire to learn. During the 1970s when I was in high school, we were still subject to the old quasi-military system of school discipline and intense competition with your schoolmates. When subjected to physical assaults from teachers in the name of discipline, I rebelled and consequently was expelled from school. Fortunately, shortly thereafter I met a friend who was attending a "free school" experiment just starting then called Aspire. It was a pilot project started about 1975 in BC as well as Toronto. The model was loosely based on Rudolf Steiner's educational theories, allowing for a student-centred approach to learning. I went from barely hanging on with a C average in regular school to surpassing my classmates, particularly in my interests of literature, poetry and history. Today I am the author of 11 published books! In large part I credit Aspire for my success. I find it tragic that today's kids are being subjected to yet another form of institutionalized abuse, different than the one I suffered, but no less damaging.

This brilliant, inspired initiative of course begs the question.

Should we not also work to establish a parallel health care, not sick care approach to our disaster that is the Canadian medical system? I’m all in for that, both interns of time and finances to contribute!

Very cool.

It is a difficult subject in trying times to choose a curriculum that can cover all the bases needed both for today and into the future. Because what does the future hold?

Beyond the actual subjects and information though, is the mindset behind the learning.

How many assume the only way to learn is found through formal tuition? Go to college or university. Get a degree, a masters, a PhD.

When learning really comes in so many ways and these days information is so accessible. Books both old or new, documentaries, google scholar, substack.

Then there is the practical application of that knowledge. Working, apprenticeships, trial and error.

Social intelligence. Emotional intelligence. Etcetera.

This is the future, hopefully for a majority of children and young adults.

What about those of us who have alternative ideas to offer? (I wish I had known about this conference earlier.) https://townhall.com/columnists/robjenkins/2021/06/13/a-new-kind-of-private-school-n2590896

Love this. Thank you for sharing. The DIE agenda spells death to the individual and life to group think which is what stifles critical thinking. It’s an ideology. Teaching what is true and even more, God’s Truth is what will bring revival, peace and hope in these dark days. In Christmas we celebrated the birth of “Immanuel” God with us. Like CSLewis said when all the children wanted an end to Winter without Christmas. A new season of renewal and Spring is here, as they say, Aslan is on the move.

For those who are in the area and can go in person, I found this Eventbrite link for tickets (wasn't in the You Tube video and did a search) They are very reasonable priced:
